AAZZUR is one of 10 innovative fintech start-ups selected from across Europe for PwC Belgium’s 2021 Scale | FinTech programme.
The Berlin-based open banking start-up was selected alongside the nine others for having a solution that addresses burning issues in the financial services industry.
AAZZUR enables incumbent and challenger banks alike to monetise customer data by offering third-party services on a white-label basis. Its Behavioural Trigger Engine enables banks to offer tailored service based on customer need, while its Financial Services Connector lets banks, insurers and other providers connect to offer third-party services.
Taking part in the Scale | FinTech programme will enable AAZZUR to scale through participating in an extensive programme of masterclasses, showcasing and networking – elevating its profile and growing new business.
Partnerships with financial institutions have proved critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted an urgent need for innovation in the financial services sector. PwC highlights that collaboration and investment in start-ups and scale-ups can provide quick access to new technologies, speed up time to market for new products and services and reduce inefficiencies.
"Partnerships are becoming the norm. At AAZZUR we have built a handful of relationships/partnerships just in the last year,” says AAZZUR CEO Philipp Buschmann. “It is a faster and more performant way to innovate. Just like building a house you will use the best tools and buy the best appliances ... no-one would build a fridge all from scratch anymore. It’s the same in financial services.”
The 2021 Scale | FinTech programme includes a comprehensive masterclass series, covering topics such as IP and data protection, a go-to-market strategy and navigating a regulated industry. Participants also benefit from exposure to PwC’s client network, which helps enable fast-growing fintechs to connect with established financial services organisations.
AAZZUR will participate in 2021 Scale | FinTech programme alongside Risk Concile, Urgentum, B.fine, FinFlag, Lovys, Applied Blockchain, Penbox, Crossflow and Dabbl. To find out more about the scheme, visit the PwC website.
