Company profile of AAZZUR

09 May 2018

AAZZUR is building a banking hub that lets you stay in control of your finances, wherever you are in the world.

One app to manage all your money

We will let you do all your standard banking and more. You can open an account in under 10 minutes using just your passport. You can integrate all your accounts in one place and customise your service with AAZZUR Experiences, creating a personalised banking service on your smartphone.

Revolutionising retail banking

AAZZUR is teaming up with fintechs to build a banking ecosystem, where customer accounts and toolboxes will be available through an open API. We will manage this ecosystem so third-party providers can focus on innovation, rather than on customer acquisition, regulation and KYC compliance.

Management team

AAZZUR was founded by CEO Philipp Buschmann, CFO Martin Damaske and CTO Richard Unger. Based in Berlin, our team is as international as the customers we serve.

Philipp, our CEO, is a strategy consultant turned serial entrepreneur who specialises in financial services and resources and has raised more than USD 7.5m in seed, angel and subsequent funding. Meanwhile Martin is a highly-experienced entrepreneur, CFO and management consultant with extensive knowledge of the financial services and platform industry. His specialities are retail and securitisation. Both Philipp and Martin have taken a company public. They are joined by Richard, a CTO and IT consultant with more than 15 years’ experience across the fintech, banking, government and telecommunications sectors. His specialities include implementing IT solutions and project delivery.

We were proud participants in the 2018 Techstars Berlin accelerator programme. We have also appeared at this year’s Finovate Europe in London, MoneyLIVE in Amsterdam and are due to attend Money 20/20 Europe, also in the Dutch capital.
